The Egg sprang from a new technique, which Jacobsen was the first to use; a strong foam inner shell underneath the upholstery. Experience originality and timeless design with the Egg in fabric and indulge in its sculptural curves that will last for generations.
The four-star base consists either of a satin chromed steel column connected to a base in satin polished aluminium. The inner shell is made of a hard moulded foam, padded with a softer foam structure to increase comfort. A matching Egg footstool is available in the same base and upholstery options.

Materials
The star base is made of aluminium, mounted on a satin polished steel pedestal. The shell is made of a synthetic material, padded with cold-cured foam. Available in a wide range of fabrics and leathers.
