Horizon Rug by Ritva Puotila for Woodnotes
The Horizon rug features asymmetrical horizontal bands of colour on a plain background. The width of the stripy area is determined by the length of the carpet, but is always at least 90 cm.
Woodnotes is a Finnish design company founded in 1987 by textile designer Ritva Puotila and her son Mikko Puotila. The company specialises in developing spun paper yarn from wood fibres, which is durable, resilient, biodegradable and 100% vegan.
Due to the density of the fibres, paper yarn collects neither dust nor dirt – great news for those with allergies.
Championing Finnish craftsmanship & creativity, all wood and paper is sourced locally.
Notes on ordering
Sewn edges, turned ends and soil repellent treatment are supplied as standard.
Polyester felt backing is optional, but the use of a non-skid underlay is recommended for carpets without backing.
