Swan Sofa by Fritz Hansen
The Swan Sofa was originally produced for the furnishing of the SAS Royal Hotel in 1958. Like the Swan lounge chair the sofa contains no straight lines and the form is based on soft shapes, creating an organic appearance.
After several years absent from the Fritz Hansen collection it was reintroduced in 2000, and has proven to stand the test of time with its functionality and sculptural beauty.

Details
Materials
The shell of the Swan Sofa is made of polyurethane foam with glass fibre reinforcement. The shell is upholstered with cold cured foam and covered with fabric or leather.
The base is made of moulded aluminium. The two parts of the base are connected with an aluminium rail, which is screwed onto the bottom of the sofa with 2 M6 screws in each shaker base. The feet are provided with synthetic black-grey leg ferrules.
